So I blog about my BabyCAKES program a lot because I really love photographing babies at all stages. The reason I choose each stage is for a particular reason.
This is Lydia Rose – she is very special to me and I absolutely think she is perfection. You’ll soon see why.
Newborn – this is the sweet age where we curl babies up into little poses and capture their tiny little body. Every attention to detail is taken, as well as keeping your baby warm and safe thru the entire session. At Brenda Horan Photography, we have everything we need for the session – all you need to supply is the baby and the milk. 🙂
At four months, they are just about ready to roll over, they
can lay on their tummy and hold up their head, they can sit assisted, so we use buckets and baskets to support them so they are comfortable and happy. This is just about the time when they will smile directly at you and give you all sorts of cute expressions.
Next up is the 8 month session – where babies typically can sit on their own. I love this stage because they are still chunky, and really want to stand and scoot. Here Lydia is standing to show off her cute little body in a Matilda Jane romper.
The last session is the One Year with a smash cake. I love for parents to start introducing cupcakes to their baby a week ahead – so the baby gets used to the sweet and sticky taste of frosting. It’s hit or miss – some babies cry, but most love it and cry when we take the cake away.
